Graffiti is an unusual and unique modern art form. The world is the artist’s canvas as they paint on surface such as walls and bridges. It is most popular in large cities such as Los Angeles and New York but can be found most anywhere. Graffiti expresses cultural thought through the artwork. The graffiti movement has been met with much resistance as some see it as mere vandalism. Graffiti is art because it does express a personal belief in an artistic way and often displays the classic elements of art such as line, color, shape, and value.
